Dominion is Rob Dysert, Joe Fielden, Randy McGuire, and Marty Riley. Our mission is to spread the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through song. We are all members of Derbyshire Baptist Church in Richmond, VA. The group was formed following an annual Derbyshire gospel celebration and has been together since January, 1999. Each of us sings in the Derbyshire chancel choir and has served or is currently serving God as a deacon, and through various positions of service in the church. Only one hails from Virginia, but each of us has made a home in the Old Dominion and we feel that God has dominion over our lives and over all living things; therefore, our name reflects the love and respect we have for the power of God.

The title of our first CD, 'gratitude', is indicative of how we feel about those who have supported us in our efforts. We'd like to thank God, first and foremost, for bringing us together and for the spiritual gifts that He has given each of us. We are also grateful for our church, Derbyshire Baptist in Richmond, Virginia for nurturing and encouraging our ministry. We are especially grateful to David Schwoebel, our minister of music, for sacrificing his personal time and sharing his gifts with us. Lastly, to Brenda Robinson, our “Executive Producer”, we are grateful for her gentle prodding and her faith and vision, which reminded us that through God all things are possible.
